Disconnection processing of defective chips after wire bonding

Following wire bonding, inspection is performed to identify defective and disconnected chips. To prevent defective chips from being transferred to subsequent processes, the wires of the chips are cut to ensure they will be reliably identified during electrical characteristics inspection.
